A destruction order was made against Blitz because he is a pit bull type dog and the court felt his owner was not a suitable owner to have a dog of that type. Our appeals to the Crown Court, the High Court , the Court of Appeal and the European Court of Human Rights all failed and things were looking bleak for Blitz until a fantastic new keeper came forward. This new keeper was well acquainted with Blitz having looked after him in kennels for two years. A fresh application was made to the Magistrates’ Court and the original destruction order was overturned. After 4 ½ years in kennels Blitz was finally released to his new keeper.
