We can provide you with advice and representation anywhere in England and Wales.

If you are arrested and detained at a police station or attend for interview as a volunteer, you are entitled to consult a solicitor free of charge. We strongly advise that you do seek legal advice because what is said and done at the police station can have a significant impact on the outcome of your case.

We often find that when clients have been unrepresented at the police station they are at a disadvantage if their case goes to court because of what was said, or was not said, when interviewed by police.

Police Station Attendance

On arrival at the police station we will speak to the police to find out details of the offence for which you have been arrested. We will then talk to you in private to take your full instructions and advise you fully about the law, any defences that may be available to you, the strength of the evidence and whether or not you should give an account to the police in interview. It may be that the best option is to give a full and frank account to police. Sometimes it is best to decline to answer questions, at least until further information is provided as to the case against you; or it may be better to put forward a written statement setting out your case in a clear and structured way.

We have decades of experience of representing clients in the police station for all manner of offences from murder and sexual offences to assaults and criminal damage. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to advise and represent you at the police station. The service is free, independent and confidential and, if we are involved at an early stage of an investigation, we are often able to affect the outcome of a case.
If someone you know has been arrested and needs our help or if you have been asked to attend a voluntary interview at the police station then please make sure your rights are protected by calling us on 01442 242999 to request our attendance at the police station.
